What extra-curricular activities are offered?

SJRS offers athletic programs including cross-country, soccer, basketball, ski, golf, tennis, climbing, and t-ball. More information can be found in our Athletics section.

SJRS also offers Tech Club, Math Club, Chess Club and Drama Club. Descriptions of these activities can be found in our Student Life section.

Are the teachers certified by the state?

Yes. The teachers are certified by the State of New Hampshire and the Diocese of Manchester. Teachers are required to be certified. They have 3 years from the date of employment to become certified.

What are the school's hours of operation?

Pre-Kindergarten through grade 8 hours are from 7:45am to 2:45pm.

Are religious classes required of all students?

All SJRS students are expected to attend and participate in religious education classes. Teachers will be sensitive to the students' ability to understand and will be respectful of the student's personal religious convictions. Students will also be expected to be present for liturgical and other religious services.

Do you admit non-Catholic students to the school?

Yes, St. John Regional School admits children of different faiths and traditions.

What courses does the school offer?

Is there a dress code at the school?

Yes. All students are required to follow the dress code as outlined in the Parent Handbook.

Does the school have a security system?

The school has camera surveillance at entrances and school yard areas. The school has an extensive safety plan devised with the cooperation of local law enforcement agencies.

Is there as after-school program?

Yes. The after-school program is for St. John Regional School students only.

This program is available Monday through Friday from 3:00pm-5:30pm, except for school vacations, holidays, professional development days, and early release days. For more information, please visit the After-School Program page.

Is there a hot lunch program?

Hot lunches are provided by the Concord Union School District under the Federal Hot Lunch Program. These meals are prepared in our kitchen. A free or reduced lunch program is available for eligible families. For more information, please visit the Lunch Program section.
