Ways of Giving:

What is the Annual Fund?
Tuition and fees alone do not cover the cost of education. The Annual Fund
bridges the gap between tuition and the actual cost to educate a student.
The Annual Fund is a critical component of the school's operating budget.

What does the Annual Fund support?
The Annual Fund supports our outstanding academic program, our athletic
and extracurricular activities, as well as our talented and dedicated staff.
In addition to providing an excellent overall program, offering our staff fair
and competitive salaries and benefits ensures the school's ability to attract
and retain quality teachers.

Why should I support the Annual Fund?
Donations to the fund are critical and no gift is too small. Percent of
participation in the Annual Fund helps the school when we apply for grants.
Foundations are more likely to give when they can see that the school is
widely supported by current parents, past parents, alumni, and staff. Every
gift makes a difference

Does SJRS have recognition levels for gifts to the Annual Fund?
The SJRS community is sincerely grateful for all donations. The Maroon
and Gold Society acknowledge contributions accordingly;

         Angels Up to $99.00
         Archangels $100.00 - $249.00
         Friends $250.00 - $499.00
         Patrons $500.00 - $999.00
         Scholars $1,000.00 - $2,499.00
         Principal's List $2,500.00 - $4,999.00
Mother McAuley $5,000.00 - $9,999.00 (Founder of the Sisters of Mercy)
Msgr. J.S. Buckley $10,000.00 and above (Founder of St. John Regional School)
Why not just raise tuition? An important part of the mission of St. John Regional School is affordable Catholic education. While we generally raise tuition 3%-6% annually, raising the tuition to include the Annual Fund would prohibit many talented students from attending school at SJRS. What is a matching gift? Your company human resource department will be able to tell you if your company participates in a matching gift program and provide you with the necessary paperwork. A matching gift is an employer-sponsored program to encourage philanthropy among company's employees in support of their chosen charity and/or organization. The matching gift program enables many donors to increase the impact of their gift by matching dollar for dollar; some double and triple the employee contribution.
